This product is a reusable furnace filter. It consists of a plastic cover with a pleated filter that stretches’ out inside the plastic cover. A very interesting concept and is easy to assemble and use. Anxious to try the filter system soon. Plastic cover appears to be sturdy and comes with 4 pleated filters. A very interesting product.

Summer brings the dust in the wind. Hopefully, this filter will help keep the dust bunnies at bay in the house without offending the HVAC machinery.The frame is impressive – a half kilo of plastic. Size is good. Not difficult to pry apart the snaps to replace the filter. The filter is a Z-fold paper. Stick a section in the slot on the frame on each side, even out the pleats, snap the frame back together and you’re good to go. The paper is just a tad wider than the frame so it provides a tight fit on all sides.The instruction sheet suffers a bad case of ESL and some information that appears to be for a different product. It’s easy enough to figure things out so this isn’t a hurdle.A key value factor for this filter is the replaceable elements but a source for these elements is not provided (that I can easily see) nor does a simple search yield anything. It looks to be a 4 and done situation.MERV12 is on the high end for residential HVAC systems and may present a higher resistance to airflow than the usual MERV8 or lower. It should be OK for modern household equipment from what I can find out. The higher number filter will also catch more crud from the air which means it will clog up faster and need more attention to maintenance schedules. I will be watching the towel flutter and a hanging lanyard angle to see if there is a significant reduction in airflow. It will also be interesting to see if captured crud increases the filter weight over a month or two to be noticed with the kitchen scales. Time will tell.

I like that it has a MERV 12 pleated design, and I love how its highly effective at capturing airborne particles and allergens, including dust, pollen, and pet dander. This means that not only will my home be cleaner, but the air I breathe will be healthier too and I love that.One of the best things I like about this air filter is that it is reusable. Instead of constantly buying disposable filters, which can be expensive, you can simply take it apart and replace the inner filter with one of the 4 that they provide. This not only saves you money in the long run but also reduces waste, making it an environmentally-friendly option. I like that they give you 4 filters, so you can change it 3 more times before you have to purchase more. That also means that this filter is good for the next 8 months for me before I will have to buy more.I love that the filter is also incredibly easy to install. The package comes with a frame and four filter pieces, so you have everything you need to get started right away. The actual size of the filter is 15.5″x19.5″x0.75″, which fits perfectly into a 16x20x1 filter slot. And as you can see it fit perfectly into the slot on my furnace (see my pictures)Definitely a well-made, easy to use and a great way to save money and a filter that works well. I highly recommend this air filter to anyone who wants to breathe cleaner, healthier air in their home. I feel theses are doing a nice job of filtering the air at my farmhouse which seems to be musty and have a lot of dust. The MERV 12 rating is a great rating and it seems to be helping. I also like the idea of cutting down on waste as I usually change out the filter once a month and this allows for just the pleated filter to be thrown and reuse of the frame. It also allows me to have multiple filters on hand without taking up a lot of space as that is at a premium in a small farm house.I will order the pleated filters again and keep using the frame.

So this works in my HVAC unit, but I haven’t had to clean it out yet…so I cannot attest to that. If that goes well, this could end up a 5*

This comes with a sturdy frame to hold the filters in place. The filters are easy to install, and I like that I don’t have to worry about the direction the air filter is going. I don’t think they do, but they should really sell the filters without the frame for those that already have a frame. Although these are priced well, I feel like you could save even more if you could buy the filters on their own.
