Ordered this furnace filter slot seal at the recommendation of an HVAC professional. In fact, this particular guy was the first person to ever recommend such a thing!! For years I’ve noticed “basement” smells, etc. permeating through the registers when the heat or AC is on. It became very noticeable when my house smelled like smoke during the periods of time when we were experiencing poor air quality due to the Canadian Wildfires. After installing the seal, I notice an immediate reduction in odors from my basement. The air quality has dramatically improved and I notice less dust in my house.The seal comes in two pieces and it is magnetic. You simply attach it to the slot, I started at the top. The first piece went about half way down the length of the slot. I then placed the other side at the bottom of the slot and they met in the middle. Perfect fit!! The filter will be easy to replace because again, they’re magnetic so they will never lose their ability to “Re-adhere”.This was a great purchase and one that I highlyrecommend for anyone who has their furnace in a basement or other unfinished space.

This is great. I have a filter in an awkwardly tiny spot due to a finished basement. We used to tape over it, which was terribly frustrating. This was a great replacement. It’s incredibly easy to install. It has stayed on for a month and doesn’t allow any air in from the heater area through the filter.
