This is the second time I have ordered the 3M 1900 Filtrete filters — and this batch seems to be as good as the first. I ordered a six pack for less than a hundred dollars, saving almost four dollars per filter over the price at my local Lowe’s. This filter, when replaced, comes out almost completely black, covered in particles it has removed from the air. We have a short haired cat, and the filter picks up tons (it seems) of those hairs. I also have lymphoma, and this filter helps keep the air as clean as it can get. I am completely pleased with this product: the product, price, and shipping are right on the mark for me. You will not go wrong on this filter.

I like my apartment. Unfortunately, I have multiple allergies, and most of my neighbors have pets. Several of my neighbors also smoke (chain-smoke, it seems). Rather than whine, suffer, or just move, I switched out my unit-supplied forced air filter (which frankly, couldn’t filter a bowling ball), with the Filtrete 1500 Advanced Allergen filter. Whoa, immediate improvement! The second-hand smoke disappeared, as well as my pet-allergy headaches. The only problem remaining was the pet oders and smell of aforementioned cigarettes. I bought a six-pack of these 1900 Ultimates and crossed my fingers.WOW.They arrived in two days, and came in a very handy dispenser box. Couldn’t be happier with the speed of delivery or packing. And within a day, all the smells had disappeared. Paradise! Now everybody is happy! My living conditions mean the fan runs pretty much constantly, so I replace the filter about every two months. But I am a VERY happy customer and will definitely be ordering these from Amazon again. My filter size (12x24x1) is hard to find in stores, and much cheaper online. Thank you, Amazon, I can breathe in peace once again!

My mother and I perpetual allergies, with mom being asthmatic and me being somewhat prone to dermatitis. Living next to an active road with a cat meant that searching for the highest MPR rated filter for my condo is an absolute must. I started using the 1900 MPR 12x24x1 filter when I moved to my condo almost two years ago (unfortunately there is no 2200 MPR rating for filters in that dimension). When my mom visited, she was both able to stay for an extended period of time without itching, sneezing, or hives. As for me, I find that it reduces my dermatitis significantly. Not too expensive, and well worth the higher standard of living especially when it comes to indoor air.

I upgraded to these filters about a year ago. This was my second six-pack. When I first started using them, I noticed that they seemed to take more dirt out of the air, seemed more grey sooner than what I had used before during heating season, which is just what I wanted. I change the filters at about 60 days on average, and there is always noticeable dirt compared to the new replacement I am about to install. Once, there seemed to be a slight whistle from one of the filters, but I couldn’t tell whether it was from the filter itself or the way it fit in the duct frame. All in all, very pleased.

A couple of months ago, I purchased 3 six-packs of Filtrete Ultimate Allergen Filters (Level 1900) for my CHA. I opened one package and installed two filters. Some time later, I looked at the other filters in the package and determined that one of the filters was defective (cardboard frame around filter was coming loose). I opened the other two six-packs and found a second filter with the same problem. I checked the web site and I found that I was past the ‘return date’. I like the company and their filters, and this is a problem that I have never had before. Warning! Check every filter when you receive them, even if you don’t plan to use them immediately.

Excellent filter. I work in HVAC and work with multiple types of filters. In my opinion this is the best you can buy in the 1 inch category. It fits snuggly into the filter grills, not allowing any air to pass on the sides. Not so snuggly you have to squish it to get it into place though. It doesn’t bounce up and down as the system fan cycles. The extra pleats allow for a significantly lower static pressure which preserves the life of the blower motor but also allows for greater airflow while still filtering properly. We recently had a rain storm and my roof caved in. The filter turned completely black. I thought this was due to the excess moisture in the air, but turned out when the roof came in I had a lot of black mold. I believe the blackness in the filter was actually the mold spores. I’ve never seen a filter go black within a couple of hours before.I change my filter every 2 months, and my fan cycles for about 30 min. every hour. This helps clean the air in the home in a big way. Combine this with an Air Scrubber which uses a mixture of UV light and a honeycomb matrix, and you will have hospital quality air, as well as a very sanitized home. The investment is high with these filters, but replacing your HVAC system is even higher, I very much recommend these amazing filters and will use nothing less until I switch to a 5 inch filter solution.

These filters fit well, filter well. I can recommend these to anyone needing this size of filter.

Has bought it 5 times every six months, was 90 bucks before for 6 pack, now is 135, 50% increase! Even there is inflation to consider, but for this price, it’s not the best choice anymore.
